ntlm_auth and Server 2008 R2 issues

We are having the same issue as noted here: http://lists.freeradius.org/pipermail/freeradius-users/2009-November/msg006… I am guessing there is no way to use LDAP for MSCHAP authentication? I have read other posts on the list that have said it won't work (which kind of makes sense to me). However, it sure would be nice to side step Samba on this issue. We are not doing group checking at this point, just authentication. Currently running FreeRADIUS 2.0.3. Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated. I guess my next e-mail will be to the Samba mailing list.... Thanks, Walter

FreeRadius 2.1.3 & SQL error

First question, is the only way to get Accounting data from FreeRadius by using one of the supported databases (like msql)? Is there no way to just cut records to a text file or, ideally, syslog? Second question: I inserted the following sql configuration (supplied to me) into sql.conf but when I start FR, it errors out with this message. list of allowed nas clients for realm

I am running FreeRADIUS Version 2.1.8 with mysql as backend database in lab environment. I am authenticating PPP customers from two different network segments behind two cisco NAS devices. Rejecting users without a realm

I couldn't find an answer to this question in the Archives. I have a FreeRadius Server (2.1.3) and would like it to reject *any* user that attempts login with a realm (user(a)realm.com for example). I thought I could do something like this in the user file: DEFAULT Realm == "NULL", Auth-Type := Reject But it doesn't work. What's the best way to do this? -Mike

Different LDAP group authentication with different IPs

Hello all I want to run only one radiusd (no virtual server) to support my scenario, and it is like below: >From IP x.x.x.1 -> Only Allow LDAP Group A to access >From IP x.x.x.2 -> Only Allow LDAP Group B to access from the doc/ldap_howto.txt, it seems not working.... I've found in mailing lists, and the proper solution is to use huntgroups and users file. But in freeradius 2.1.x, it's not recommended to use users to do so... Hello to all, I am using the latest version 2.1.8 and I am newbie. I was trying to configure sql (mysql) for this version, but I did not find any configuration help from any source. I cannot find the sql files that used to be in older version. So, can anyone locate these files for me or please tell me the changes in the sql files.
