Hi, I have find the problem ... in radiusd.conf just comment the 3 lines # passwd = /etc/passwd # shadow = /etc/shadow # group = /etc/group In freebsd unix autentication is diferent from regular unix/linux We have a passwd, a group but we haven't a shadow that's wy i didn't comment passwd and group before ... thanks, Silves ______________________________________________________________________________________ NONSTOP - Acesso a Internet com descontos até 95%, e ainda 30% a partir do 10º minuto. Proxy radius with socks on client
by Romain GAILLEGUE 25 Nov '05

Hi, I have to socksify client requests on a freeradius in proxy mode. I can try to use an external module in radius like this /usr/bin/socksify /usr/bin/radtest "$USER" "$PASS" $RADIUS 10 $PSK but i would like to know if there is not an other solution to do this ? Thanks Romain

Hi List, I am trying to authenticate my user's in /etc/passwd of FreeBSD. Radius is version 1.0.5 and it's on the same machine. Here is the output of radiusd when i start it on debug mode: estrela# radiusd -sfxxyz -l stdout Starting - reading configuration files ... reread_config: reading radiusd.conf Config: including file: /usr/local/etc/raddb/clients.conf main: prefix = "/usr/local" main: localstatedir = "/var" main: logdir = "/var/log" main: libdir = "/usr/local/lib" main: radacctdir = "/var/log/radacct" main: hostname_lookups = no main: max_request_time = 30 main: cleanup_delay = 5 main: max_requests = 1024 main: delete_blocked_requests = 0 main: port = 0 main: allow_core_dumps = no main: log_stripped_names = yes main: log_file = "/var/log/radius.log" main: log_auth = yes main: log_auth_badpass = yes main: log_auth_goodpass = no main: pidfile = "/var/run/radiusd/radiusd.pid" main: user = "(null)" main: group = "(null)" main: usercollide = no main: lower_user = "no" main: lower_pass = "no" main: nospace_user = "no" main: nospace_pass = "no" main: checkrad = "/usr/local/sbin/checkrad" main: proxy_requests = no security: max_attributes = 200 security: reject_delay = 1 security: status_server = no main: debug_level = 0 read_config_files: reading dictionary read_config_files: reading naslist read_config_files: reading clients read_config_files: reading realms radiusd: entering modules setup Module: Library search path is /usr/local/lib Module: Loaded exec exec: wait = yes exec: program = "(null)" exec: input_pairs = "request" exec: output_pairs = "(null)" exec: packet_type = "(null)" rlm_exec: Wait=yes but no output defined. CHAP Problems
by radius＠kingmanaz.net 25 Nov '05

25 Nov '05

I have tried to hire someone to help with my Radius over the last 6 month's but have not been able to get it working correctly. I seem to be getting answers from my MySql database but when a CHAP request comes in, it will not authorize and ells us Auth-Type already set. The database seems to be answering fine from local dialup, but when one comes in from over our Level3 network it errors out and won't allow them to connect. I can provide a major city access number if that will help anyone for testing also. I'm also getting the run time error that it's using my realms file, but there is nothing in that file as instructed. I went to 1.0.5 and things improved a little that we started seeing the response from the MySql database but still nothing in CHAP. I'm sure I'm missing a setting somewhere because of the Auth-Type warning. If someone can actually help get this running that is well versed with FreeRadius please give me a cost or if I need to send the config files I can also do that. Here is my debug print out. by Scott Kerschner 24 Nov '05

Hello all I am using freeradius version 1.0.5 and I am seeking some advise with regards to moving some legacy icradius data. We currently have freeradius running,... but our full implimentation requires us to import or load legacy data from icradius into freeradius. Has anyone done this before? is there a script that some kind person has written that I could use? Any help at all would be greatly appriecated. Thank you in advance Regards Scott K scott(a)pccentre.com.au

Let me clarify. Here is my setup: SSL-VPN client -> Cisco VPN Concentrator -> FreeRadius -> W2K Active Directory It seems all the docs on the 'Net I have found talk about wireless or 802.1x clients. I think I should be using ntlm_auth. Or should I be using the LDAP module?
