Hi!
To gather a deeper insight in what TLS versions are used by clients in
our wireless network, I want to log what MAC address uses what TLS
version (and maybe cipher algorithm, but that is secondary) during the
PEAP or TTLS handshake.
I guess a simple linelog would be sufficient for that task, but, I must
confess, I am a bit lost on what attributes to use for the TLS version
part, if there even *is* a way to log this information.
I'd appreciate a little push in the right direction.

Greetings,
Currently I am working on "migrating" our radius proxy server from
radsecproxy to freeradius 3.0.15 with radsec. At the client side, majority
of them are using radsecproxy+freeradius 2.2.9.
Connection from the radius proxy via radius port (1812)/non-radsec works
well. However, if we change the connection from the radius proxy via radsec
it doesn't work.
Below is the error message from the proxy server's log (full debug log
attached):
(1) eap: ERROR: rlm_eap (EAP): No EAP session matching state
0xcacb836ecaca9624
(1) eap: Either EAP-request timed out OR EAP-response to an unknown
EAP-request
(1) eap: Failed to get handler, probably already removed, not inserting
EAP-Failure
, while at the client side (full debug log attached):

I used eapol_test to test the authentication.
I there anyone faced similar problem before? if yes, would you mind to

The design is modern, and replaces one designed in 2008 (IIRC).
Please let us know your opinions. Does anything need changing? Are things easy to find?
One big change is that the modules have their own page. Each module is documented by type (authentication, database, etc.). Where possible, that also points to module-specific documentation.
The goal is to have not only a modern web site, but a site which is easier to navigate.

Hi.
I have one FreeRADIUS 2.2.9 server running in a student dorm. The server depends on MySQL as its backend. There is also a .NET application I have written to manage and monitor the "raddb" database, which I have customised to suit their needs.
All has been going well for about 6 months. But the dorm director has run into a problem today. There are only a handful of students staying in the dorm. All others are on vacation. Using the .NET application, the director has found out that some students log in to the network using the credentials of some other students that are away. Apparently, they share passwords with fellow students. But the director cannot let that happen. It is against the law to use some other person's credentials to gain access to services, and it does not matter if there is consent. It is very much like lending your passport to a friend. So he asked me to come up with a way to prevent that from happening again.
Since we can't just delete the missing students from the database, I decided to append another field to an existing database table that I use to keep track of network usage (table: usage, column: locked). I also made changes to the .NET application to make it possible for the director to "lock" those users that are away. When a user's "locked" field is set to 1, the "datacounter_auth.sh" script detects this and does not authorise him.
So what is the problem? The problem is that "datacounter_auth.sh" is executed *after* the user is authenticated. What I would like to do is to prevent a locked user from ever passing the authentication phase, because the system logs that as a valid login. We can't let that happen either because the law stipulates that we keep an accurate log of user logins.
So my question is: How can I make authentication fail using an SQL statement *even if* the user provides valid credentials?

When there are 100 cps, I am facing the issue in some calls
while free-radius takes approx 1 sec to complete accounting but on that
calls OpenSIPs block the BYE message until free-radius complete accounting.

Hi,
I have been compiling and deploying FR source for a good while in Debian 9;
however upon trying to install it in a cleanly installed system, I just
found out I cant.
The difference is that my production system (still) has a dangling libssl
version from Debian 8 backports, that was installed *before* the upgrade to
Debian 9.
As in:

So clearly the leftover libssl satisfies a built-in dependency, even though
it was compiled in another server *without* the 1.0.2k libssl, and when
running, it ends up using libssl1.1, as:

However, in a pure Debian 9 system, I see this error when trying to install
FR 3.0.16 git from my internal repository:

The only thing that I change to compile it is in
debian/control:10: libjson0 | libjson-c2,
Changing libjson-c2 to libjson-c3.
I also know the culprit of the runtime behaviour I am describing is this

I would like to ask for a change for installing it in Debian 9; it has been
running well, however I do not have the necessary background to propose a
