Hi, I'm trying to get working huntgroups but I can't do it:
I've appended something like to huntgroups file
mb NAS-IP-Address == 10.129.189.1
mb NAS-IP-Address == 10.129.84.1
mb Called-Station-Id == 00-1B-7E-DC-AB-1A:UP-PVIII-I
And in users files:
pruebita Huntgroup-Name == "mb",Cleartext-Password := "pruebon"
But is not working user pruebita does not get an Access-Accept
Please could you help me to solve it?
Below the debug messages (I've trunked a bit for mail can be sent)

Hi,
Does setting Service-Type AVP to Authorize-Only in a RADIUS REQUEST make FreeRADIUS do only the authorization part?
I am using FreeRADIUS Version 2.1.12.
Â
I do not know much about of how freeRADIUS works, but I am looking to get either of these scenarios working -
Â
Case 1:
authenticate a user (using EAP-SIM) with FreeRADIUS and then,
initiate authorization (separately using Service-Type AVP set to Authorize-Only) for the same user with FreeRADIUS
Â
Case 2:
Configure FreeRadius to Authenticate & Authorize the user in one go; in which case the output of radiusd -X clearly indicates that both Auth & Autz are done.
If case 2 happens, how do I distinguish it from an Authentication-Only scenario?
Â
Forgive my ignorance, please advise.
Â

Thanks for your prompt replies.
I have checked the double checked my config files for both radius and mpd (pppoe daemon).

Hi All,
I'm pulling my hair out on this on.
I have setup freeradius as a package on pfsense (freeBSD) and when attempting to authenticate using the pppoe server built into free radius i get the below output:
I have checked and double checked the shared secret and even set it to a single figure for the below test.
What am I doing wrong???
Thanks in advance!!

Is is possible or not to access samba share with and freeradius
authentition ? No answer found on samba site.

I see duplicate reply. Suggests that your sql is being too slow. Look at optimizing it eg indexes on the tabled you query....or migrate to a better DB.
If mysql then look at reducing number of connections to 10

Hi,
I am using FreeRADIUS 2.1.10 to write accounting data to a postgres
database. The usernames are email addresses and therefore might contain
characters that are not included in the default safe-characters list (for
example, '+'). I am also writing user-agents, which contain other
characters not in the default list.
I have modified the safe-characters list in the DB conf for that server and
the logs suggest that this change has been picked-up, but when I fire some
test packets at the server with radclient I find that the additional
characters are still being escaped. I have also tried making the same
change in sql/postgres/dialup.conf, but this does not work either.
Excerpts from config and logs are below.
Where am I going wrong with this?
Thanks,
Jack P.

Hi there list,
Am in the process of using FreeRadius for 802.1x authentication and ran
into some problems with peap and mschap2.
FreeRADIUS Version 2.1.10, for host x86_64-pc-linux-gnu, built on Nov 24
2011 at 07:53:12
Ubuntu 64bit 12.04 (wheezy/sid)
winbindd version 3.6.3
Ntlm_auth seems to work just fine:
pkn@radtest:~$ ntlm_auth -request-ne-key --domain=ATLAS
--username=osgtest
password:
NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_USER: No such user (0xc0000064)
Which is just fine... that user indeed does not exist.
pkn@radtest:~$ ntlm_auth -request-ne-key --domain=ATLAS
--username=stafosg
password:
NT_STATUS_OK: Success (0x0)
Good user and pass... no problem...
pkn@radtest:~$ ntlm_auth -request-ne-key --domain=ATLAS
--username=stafosg
password:
NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD: Wrong Password (0xc000006a)
Good user wrong pass... again no problem there
But radtest gives the following:

The thing that bugs me is:
Exec-Program output: Reading winbind reply failed! (0xc0000001) which
seems to indicate that I have insufficient right to winbindd-privileged.
But I cannot find the socket (?) anywhere.
Or am I experiencing the Samba bug? Reading the list it looked like that
one is fixed in current Samba releases?
Any help will be appreciated...

We are using radius server for IPTV services.
It was running fine but 2 days before it stuck and stop responding. But
after restart it is working fine now, i want to know what may be the problem
because of which it stuck and stop responding. It is on trail so they want
to know the reason. It will also help me in future to remove that bug.
