Hey, I need a bit of assistance. Brief summary: I have two RADIUS servers connected to different Active Directory domains. I got through the basic setup, EAP-PEAP / MSCHAP were working successfully authenticating against both domains. Then: - I upgraded freeradius on both from 2.1.10 to 2.2.0. - I generated new 'production' certificates on both servers. Now one of them is broken. Broken to the point where I can't even get eapol_test to run with success (though ntlm_auth still authenticates against AD properly). Since I was getting the "EAP session for state 0x56783e8f517027f8 did not finish!" error, I figured I messed something up badly with my new certs, so I blew away my /etc/freeradius directory, reinstalled freeradius 2.2.0 again and started from the ground up (it recreated the default certs). Still the same problem. It's not Windows though, so I'm puzzled. username in uppercase

Hi All I am using pam_radius_auth.so (version 1.3.17) on ubuntu server to do radius authentication for ssh login. For a specific type of user, like contractors, the radius server has their username in uppercase. We have no access to the radius server and it seems to be company policy. So for those users I need to change their username to uppercase for ssh login to work. That will make things confusing since when the user login to other systems which does not do radius auth, they use lowercase username like most users in our unix environment. Is there a way send the username in uppercase, for only those users, to radius server for a successful radius authentication without changing their login name to uppercase? Coa problem

I'd say use ntlm_auth with 2 instances of MSCHAP module - using unlang and fail-through mechanism...so if MSCHAP instance 1 fails then it tries instance 2 We used this mechanism when migrating from one AD to another alan -- This smartphone uses free WiFi around the world with eduroam, now that's what I call smart.

Dynamic Home Server For Sending CoA

Hi, I have problem with Home servers for sending CoA packets. This service works fine, but i have clients in sql (rml_sql). When NAS are in sql, home servers for configuring coa must be in sql too. But now they are stationary in text file defined. Is there some way how to change this ? Or I overlook some configuration options or functionality ? Stanislav Lorenc

Hey there, I’ve setup a freeradius Server and am using EAP-TLS, and would need some help from you. The users file contains the username and the password beeing allowed to connect after TLS Connection has been established, and this is working on an android phone with no problems so far. One can setup the -CA Cert -User Cert -Login Name and -Password But I dont’t have an option to enter a password when I try to connect from the notebook, running Windows7. Is there an add on tool one can use to deliver the password as well, or do I have to drop the user-pass auth from ttls completely? FR is V2 EAP is set to allow TLS only Users file contains cleartext passwort auth (used from ttls, which has been used before) Thanks in advance and best regards Martin
